Decreasing Crane Numbers on Dublin’s Skyline

71 construction cranes were visible over the centre of Dublin on 1st April, down 7 on the previous month’s total and a drop of 9 on the high of 80 recorded on 1st December last year. However, this month’s total is still more than double the 31 recorded on 1st February 2016.
It is, however, becoming increasingly clear that particularly in the South Docklands, a lot of construction projects are approaching completion. As well as this, the quantity of new construction schemes entering development is decreasing, as was predicted by several commentators at the end of last year.
Meanwhile, site clearance work has just commenced on what will be Dublin’s tallest office block, The Exo – in front of the 3 Arena, which will top out at 73m.
