This year, the Dragons at the Docks event will see over 900 competitors battle it out across 7 sectors, with over 75 teams signed up to battle it out for the top prize. In real terms, over the last three years, Dragons at the Docks have financed the purchase of 15 residential units for formerly homeless people and 25% of funds raised have also been donated to local charities. In supporting the Simon Capital Development Fund, the Dragon at the Docks event is part of an innovative solution which will help Dublin Simon Community achieve an overall goal of 480-bed units within the next 4-5 years.

This year Dragons at the Docks has secured a road closure on Hanover Quay between Forbes St and Asgard Rd granted by DCC , for a Street Party for all the participants. The event has grown over the last two years as there has been high demand to register for the competition. The event has participants from a variety of sectors including Property, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Law, and Technology.

The road closure will take place from 09.00am – 11.00pm, as to not disturb early morning deliveries. The footpaths will not be affected so trade will be as normal throughout the morning and then increased in the afternoon/evening due to the Street Party. TMP will manage the road closure and give advance notice according to the regulations.
