Longboat Quay owners given one month to start fire safety works
October 5, 2015
Residents of Longboat Quay apartments in Dublin’s Docklands have been given one month by Dublin Fire Brigade to begin work on fixing the fire safety defects in the complex.
The work includes the installation of an adequate smoke ventilation system for the lobbies and communal stairs, fire separation between apartments, upgrading of fire doors and the installation of fire stopping material in utility services. Failure to complete the necessary fire safety upgrades could result in residents being evacuated from the building.
