Ships Ahoy! If you are out and about this June Bank Holiday weekend why not pop over to the Dublin Port Riverfest on North Wall Quay?
The festival, running from Saturday 4th June – Monday 6th June, with a huge and unique celebration along the historic quays and a jam packed programme of entertainment and family fun.
What’s on offer? A huge array of activities including the arrival of 10 tall ships and schooners which berth at North Wall Quay for the weekend. Dublin Bay Cruises are offering three three trips daily out into Dublin Bay, The Jeanie Johnson will once again be providing free tours and Dublin Tug Boats Shackleton & Beaufort’s Tug Boat Dances proved so popular last year and are back by public demand!
There will also be street performers, music from shanty singers and a unique Irish/Nigerian band, bars, face painting and carnival attractions, children’s art & circus workshops. Expect pirate re-enactments, open air food and craft markets as well as exhibitions in the CHQ Building. Customs officers will be on hand all day also at Dublin Port Riverfest with their cutter on view and they will also be carrying out sniffer dog demonstrations!
