Update on the confirmation of filming for a feature film, entitled ‘Abigail’, as per previous notification in May 2023 , for Grand Canal Harbour Management Area, on the following dates:
Wednesday 5TH JULY 2023 and Thursday the 6th July 2023

We are also informing DCC Transportation, Road Works Control Division, Roads & Traffic Department have advised that an Order has been made pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, authorising the closure of the following road to facilitate filming of the movie Abigail on the dates and times listed below:
Sir John Rogerson’s Quay (Forbes Street to Stevens Walk), Dublin 2 from 20.00hrs to 06.00hrs each night between Wednesday 5th July 2023 and Saturday 8th July 2023.
The following Traffic Management Plan has been prepared:
Eastbound Traffic will be diverted via Cardiff Lane, Misery Hill, Hibernian Rd, Lazer Lane, Forbes St, Hanover Quay, & Benson St.
Westbuond Traffic will be diverted via Hanover Quay & Cardiff Lane
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Local access will be facilitated.
Pedestrian access to Grand Canal Square during the filming period on Wednesday the 5th and Thursday the 6th July 2023, will be restricted with security officers and marshals assisting in directing pedestrians around the filming area as per the yellow arrows.
Pedestrian access to an sectioned area of Grand Canal Square will be restricted from 19:00 – 04:00,as per the map and outlined in red. The seating areas in Grand Canal Square will not be restricted / cordoned off until 22:00, as per the map below and outlined in orange.
