Halloween is a few weeks away – so why not get in the mood for all sorts of ghoulish behaviour – there will be events all over the city courtesy of Dublin City Council, including a festival in Irishtown and Ringsend.

Ardmhéara Mícheál MacDonncha said: “Halloween is an exciting time of year and to encourage young people to enjoy it safely, Dublin City Council organises family-friendly events all around the capital.

Dockers and Demons Festival

This new initiative in the Irishtown/Ringsend area connects the historic and cultural significance of ‘Oíche Samhna’ while providing fun, family-friendly events for people of all ages to enjoy.

The programme will include a number of workshops on lantern making, stilt walking and juggling, musical gigs in local pubs, links with a ship in Grand Canal Dock and culminates in a very special Dockers and Demons Parade on October 31 which starts at Ringsend Community Centre at and ends on Thorncastle Street for a Halloween street party with music and entertainment, fortune tellers, fire eaters and fire artists, face painters, tricks and treats and much more.
