The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre reportedly made a €1.4m profit in the months leading up to its recent sale. The theatre has been bought by Dublin couple John and Bernie Gallagher.

The Grand Canal Dock landmark was shown to have had revenues of €13.4m from mid-April last year to the end of September this year in documents filed by recovers to the theatre. The venue seats 2,111 and cost €80m to develop before it was put into receivership.
