New Open Air Theatre for Grand Canal Dock

A new performance space looks set to open at Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock, thanks to developer Harry Crosbie.

Crosbie has a plan for preserved stonework from The famous Abbey Theater’s original stonework, which was preserved by Dublin’s city architect Daithí Hanly in 1961.

The open-air stage will have a capacity for 200-300 people and is currently in its design stages. An application is expected to be submitted to Dublin City Council later this year.
