Dublin City Council has announced plans for a new town in Poolbeg housing 7,000 people in 3,000 new homes. Poolbeg West will see apartments, with commercial and retail space capable of accommodating 8,000 workers. The Poolbeg West planning scheme incorporates 34 hectares of land beside Ringsend.
