Bram Stoker Festival 2019

October 16, 2019

Bram Stoker Festival playfully celebrates the gothic, the mysterious, and the thrill of darkness every October Bank Holiday Weekend. In 2018, almost 80,000+ people enjoyed the festival, making it one of Dublin’s biggest events. An initiative of Dublin City Council and Fáilte Ireland, the festival programmes for families, visitors and Dubliners of all ages with outdoor spectacles, free funfairs, theatre, music, comedy, dance and events after dark in unique and surprising locations. Please see the following link for more information and updates here.

Night Watch will arise from the depths of Grand Canal Dock, for four days and nights during Bram Stoker Festival. An otherworldly spectacle, rooted in the supernatural and superstition, which will bring approx 30,000 people to the area over the weekend. Best viewed at night, this illuminated theatrical and visual installation will be set to a cinematic soundscape.

A four night installation, the water based elements, each reaching a height of approx 5/6m, will be set to a rousing soundscape, amidst fog, smoke, dry ice and the reflection of the water against bespoke lighting arrangements. The sails of the ‘ship’, painted in UV light, will feature projection mapping. All custom built for Dublin, this event will surprise, delight and spook all who happen across it.
