Oktoberfest Dublin is Back
September 16, 2014
Oktoberfest Dublin is back. For the seventh year running, the festival hits George’s Dock at the IFSC in Dublin’s Dockland.
Kicking off this Thursday the 18th and running until October 5th Irish people have the opportunity to experience authentic Oktoberfest fun, food and entertainment. Georges Dock will be host to a marquee (representative of those at the Oktoberfest in Munich), German markets and two dozen authentic Oktoberfest barmaids.
The traditional German market will be comprised of over thirty German speciality food producers and traders who are travelling to Dublin especially for the event. On offer to visitors will be the very best of Bavarian food ranging from Käsespätzle (cheese noodles), mountain cheese and sausages to pastries and traditional ginger bread hearts.
Apart from the array of foods on offer, visitors may also try out a truly authentic Bavarian style wheat beer whilst singing a yodel or partaking in a polka dance. This year, in addition to the usual food, fun and music there will also be especially themed nights to take part in!
Opening times are Monday-Thursday 12pm-11.30pm, Friday-Saturday 12pm-0.30am and Sunday 12pm-10.30pm.
