Summer Festivals in the Docklands

There is certainly a hint of summer in the air and what better way to kick off the season than with two fantastic summer festivals!

The Docklands Summer Festival will be taking place in the heart of Grand Canal Dock on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May 2014. There are plenty of activities for those of all ages to enjoy. Try out kayaking or take part in the children’s workshops and decorate your duck! You can see the Street Performance World Champions in action or if you’re looking for something more laid back, stroll around the food market or try your hand at the Golf Island Challenge!

The highlight of the festival is sure to be the World Wakeboarding Championships, with displays taking place in the basin.

Cap off your Saturday by viewing the Movie in the Dock, showing a family friendly film at 10pm.

RiverfestDublin Port River Festival

What better way to spend your June Bank Holiday weekend than at the Dublin Port River Festival! The event will run from Saturday 31st May to Monday 2nd June. Dublin Port are pulling out all the stops this year with the arrival of the Georgian Ballet, who will be performing daily throughout the festival!

The festival will also feature performancecs from Shanty Singers, Street Theatre, and Aerial Acts! The kids are sure to get a kick out of the Pirate Re-enactments and Circus Workshops. Be sure to take advantage of the free tours of the magnificent Jeanie Johnson, available from 11am to 6pm each day.
