Irish Rail has announced changes to its regular schedule and additional services for St. Patrick’s weekend. Late-night DART and commuter trains will operate after midnight on Friday to accommodate those returning from Dublin city after St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. However, due to the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin, Tara Street Station will be closed until 4 pm to facilitate Garda crowd management, and passengers traveling on the DART before 4 pm on Friday must disembark at Connolly or Pearse Stations. On Saturday, there will be extra DARTs and trains running for the Ireland v England Six Nations match at the Aviva Stadium. Grand Canal Dock Station will be closed for three hours on Saturday from 6:20 pm to 8:05 pm to facilitate Garda crowd management. On St. Patrick’s Day (Friday, March 17th), a Sunday service will operate with extra DART and Commuter services (from Howth, Malahide, Bray, Greystones, Maynooth, Longford, and Dundalk) running before and after the St. Patrick’s Day parade. Late-night trains will operate after midnight on DART and Commuter routes, serving all stations unless otherwise stated.

On Saturday, March 18th, a Saturday service will operate on all routes with extra DARTs operating before and after the Ireland v England Six Nations match at the Aviva Stadium. Grand Canal Dock Station will be closed for three hours on Saturday from 6:20 pm to 8:05 pm to facilitate Garda crowd management arrangements for the match. Additionally, an extra 21:35 hrs Dublin Heuston to Cork service will operate, and this train must be booked in advance.
