Boland’s Quay scheme at Boland’s Mills site set for September start

Construction on Boland’s Quay is due to begin this September, with a contractor due to be assigned in the next few weeks. The development is on course be finished by the end of 2018.

On site demolition has been taking place recently, and is due to be finished by June. A specialist conservation contractor will be appointed to restore the protected mill buildings, which will be used for both residential and commercial use.

Boland’s Quay, which will accommodate 2,500 workers, with 36,851sq m (397,000sq ft) of office, residential, retail and cultural space. A new pedestrian bridge, two new civic plazas with water frontage to Grand Canal Dock and a cultural/community space of 549sq m (5,910sq ft) are also included.
