Minister for Local Government Darragh O’Brien, whose department would oversee such funding, has refused the request for Dublin’s controversial plans for a €25 million whitewater rafting project in the docklands.
Dublin City Council wanted €19m for the project as part of the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund for the attraction which doubled in price from its initial estimated cost.
