Dublin Councillor calls for ban on construction of new offices in the Dublin Docklands

Councillor Eilis Ryan believes the ban is needed following a report by Dublin City Council (DCC) that office space is set to outstrip residential development. The statement comes following permission being granted for a new 35,000 sq. metre development in the Docklands.

Councillor Ryan stated “the report proves that the Docklands is nowhere near reaching the 50% residential development required under the area’s development rules. My question is, why has the Minister not stepped in to enforce these rules?”
