Google completes €300m purchase of Bolands Quay development

Tech giant Google has purchased the entire Bolands Quay development in the docklands.

The site first received planning permission in 2015 and since then NAMA has provided the funding for development works.

It is believed that the site was sold to Google for approximately €300 million.

The development is one of the largest urban regeneration projects to have been undertaken in Dublin city centre in recent years and will comprise 28,000 sq m of office space, 46 apartments, as well as several cafes. The development will include three landmark buildings, rising up to heights of approximately 170 feet.

The project is due to be completed next summer and Google will use the office space itself and will use a letting agent to rent the commercial and residential properties.

It will be linked to Google’s European headquarters on Barrow Street via walking routes through the site.
