JD Wetherspoon pays €1.5m for former church in Dublin’s city centre

PUB chain JD Wetherspoon has paid €1.47m for a 4,240 sq ft church in Dublin’s city centre, located next to the Irish Life Centre, and close to the IFSC and Dublin Docklands.

It was sold at auction last Thursday and attracted much interest. JD Wetherspoon has been active in the Irish pub market over the past few years and already owns the former TSB bank on Lower Abbey Street which it bought earlier this year for €1.5m.
