July 18, 2014
KBC Bank Ireland continues to grow its retail banking presence with a move into the Grand Canal Square area of Dublin’s docklands, Dublin’s most vibrant commercial and residential location. The bank opened its new retail banking hub at Forbes Street, Grand Canal Square this week.
KBC celebrated 41 years in Ireland this year and has embarked on a retail banking expansion including the launch of new hubs in Cork, Limerick, Galway and Dublin’s Baggot Street over the past 14 months. KBC recently launched a new current account with full online and mobile banking facilities, as well as developing a new home insurance product.
The new 1,771 sq ft retail unit is located on the east side of the Grand Canal Square Hotel & Residences Development (The Marker Residences) on Forbes Street. Forbes Street is the primary link between the River Liffey and Grand Canal Square, and provides access to office, retail units and residential units within the complex. The bank is the latest in a long line of high profile businesses to acquire space in the Grand Canal Square area, one of Dockland’s most distinctive new commercial and cultural developments.
