Raft Race Returns to Grand Canal Next Thursday in Aid of Homelessness

A thrilling raft race in aid of homelessness is taking place at Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock this month.

It will see teams of four take on the exciting challenge of taking to the water to complete a course on the canal.

2022 sees the Depaul raft race in its eighth year with the aim of raising awareness of young people experiencing homelessness in Ireland.

According to the charity, the number of young people in emergency homeless accommodation in Ireland has almost doubled in the last six years.

Those taking part on the evening of Thursday, June 23 don’t need to prepare anything as all rafts, oars and life jackets will be provided along with music and food.
