Special access performances of Beauty and the Beast coming to Dublin

The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre has announced special access performances of Beauty and the Beast with sign language and captions.

Arts & Disability Ireland helped to make these performances possible with tickets already on sale.

The three Irish Sign Language, Audio described and captioned performances will take place in December and will allow a far wider range of people to enjoy the show.

The first performance will see a qualified sign interpreter standing on the side of the stage and using ISL sign language to relay the story.

Headsets will be provided on the second night so that members of the audience can listen to live verbal commentary on what can be seen on stage.

There will be a a screen in the theatre on the third night that shows the words being said on stage.
