Windmill Lane Studios to launch visitor experience

One of Ireland’s best-known recording studios is offering guided tours as part of a new visitor experience.

Windmill Lane Recording Studios, says visitors will be able to observe the music recording and production process, as well as learning about the history of the studio from its very beginnings up to present day.

World famous Irish band U2 placed it on the world map in 1978, and since then the services of Windmill Lane Studios have been in high demand.

This led to its relocation in 1990 to a larger space in an art-deco protected structure: the former electrical power station for the tramline depot on Ringsend Road.

Some of the other artists that have recorded there include Kate Bush, The Rolling Stones, The Cranberries, The Spice Girls, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, Westlife and The Script.

The new tour was officially launched by President Michael D Higgins on Wednesday.

To book your experience, please visit the Windmill Lane Studios website: here.
