Dublin restaurants, cafes and bars with the best vegan food this Veganuary.

January 11, 2024

From Michelin-recommended restaurants to yoga cafes, micro bakeries and even a beer garden – there are plenty of vegan-friendly venues to explore this Veganuary.

Vegan January – or Veganuary – is upon us, so we have compiled a list of some amazing restaurants and cafes in Dublin that have vegan food on offer.

Many Dubs will be participating in the annual challenge this month but it can be difficult for those not used to the vegan lifestyle to avoid temptation and not order a scrumptious burger or loaded fries when out with friends.

This is why they could be better off going to a venue that has vegan options or is entirely dedicated to vegan food. Here is a list of the best vegan-friendly restaurants, cafes and bars in the capital:

Blazing Salads and Flip

Blazing Salads merged with the popular Flip Burgers in September 2023 and now the spot, located in George’s Street Arcade, offers a range of delicious vegan goodies like salads, hot entrees, handcut fries with vegan cheese and vegan and vegetarian burgers.

They also have juice blends and frozen meals to go, vegan ice cream and milkshakes. Visit Blazing Salad’s website and Flip Burger’s website for more information.

Mema’s

Located on Parnell Street, Mema’s is the perfect place to meet up with friends. The best part of this beer garden is the vegan menu and the non-alcoholic options, ideal for everyone doing Dry January as well.

They regularly have DJ nights and live music sessions, and their colourful and quirky interior makes the place vibrant and friendly. It’s also great to still feel like you’re a part of the group as you all eat your pizza and sip from your beer- even if some of the pizzas are vegan and some of the beers are non-alcoholic.

Visit their website for more information.
