Cyclists to pass through Dublin as part of 100 mile annual charity challenge

Hundreds of cyclists are set to pass through Dublin today as part of a 100-mile charity cycle.

The Willow Wheelers Cycling Club, one of Ireland’s largest cycling clubs, is set to embark on their 34th annual 100-mile charity cycle, with hundreds of participants taking part in the event to raise funds for water, health, and education projects in Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia.

Founded in 1989 by Christy McDaid, the Willow Wheelers comprises primarily of current and past students from Willow Park School and Blackrock College. Over the years, the club has raised over €2 million for worthy causes throughout the world.
